Every time I’m in Raja Ampat I’m filled with awe and a huge appreciation for the beauty of the area. I feel incredibly fortunate to be in a position to escort fellow avid snorkelers to experience reefs systems with voluptuous soft corals and a staggering volume and variety of fish.
Our gregarious group of 16 traveled 250 nautical miles through Raja Ampat. The seas were  calm and the Pindito  so sturdy there were many times we didn’t know we were cruising.

Each day was filled with many highlights. From tiny Mantis Shrimps to large majestic Mantas. We enjoyed snorkeling many types of sharks, Black tip, White tip, Walking Sharks and Wobbegong Sharks. We got cozy with  Cephalopods, We encountered several school of Squid and Cuttlefish. We were extra lucky to encounter a Wonderpus and a Hairy Octopus, both firsts for me.

We explored a variety of marine habitats. We snorkeled our hearts out over sloping reefs, steep coral encrusted walls, sea mounts, mangroves, and fast moving channels. We were exhilarated and exhausted by the end of each day. For those that had the stamina there were a number of night snorkels offered. Six hours a day in the water was a pretty typical day. Needless to say, we all slept well at night!

We enjoyed our time on board sharing stories, photos, great meals and amazing sunrises and sunsets. We traveled during the election. Our friendship and the majestic beauty of the area were a balm to our souls.
Thank you to the Pindito and my fellow travelers for a remarkable journey through Raja Ampat.
