Hi Friends,
We’re not through the pandemic yet but with testing ramped up and vaccinations a growing reality, there is light at the end of this long Coronavirus tunnel. And while the whole world hasn’t open up yet there are pockets of paradise where we can travel!
I’ve put together a phenomenal Sea of Cortez expedition that highlights incredible marine diversity in as safe of an environment as possible.
The Sea of Cortez, rich with nutrients is host to an incredibly diverse population of marine mammals and seabirds. From the famed coral reefs of Cabo Pulmo to our luxury camp on Espiritu Santo, we’ll have the opportunity to snorkel with schools of bait fish, turtles, sea lions, whale sharks and hopefully even a school of mobulas!
A group of 11 of us experienced a fabulous spirit-lifting week in Baja in November. It was so wonderful I’m eager to return and I hope you can join me.
The highlight was “glamping” on an uninhabited island for 5 days with the sea just steps from our tents and bright stars dancing above us at night.
We enjoyed snorkeling, kayaking, hiking. We felt safe and very well cared for.
Our private beach camp is located on an uninhabited island that is a UNESCO heritage site. called “the world’s aquarium” by Jacques Cousteau. While on the island we’ll have time to hike, kayak and paddleboard.
This small group adventure combines all of life’s essentials….breathtaking nature, great food and wonderful companions to share this awesome experience. Let’s get out of dodge and replenish our souls with wildlife, the sea and the stars.

Concern about health and safety are issues foremost on minds right now. I want to do everything possible before and during the trip to make sure trip planning and the journey is as stress-free and safe as possible.
This trip is operated by ToSea Adventures. Their very thorough safety protocols can be read here: https://tosea.net/traveler-information-for-covid-19/
Mexico doesn’t require COVID testing to enter the country but for everyone’s peace of mind I’m asking that everyone either be vaccinated before travel or be tested within 5 days of departure.
We all know the best laid plans can hit road blocks in the age of COVID. I’ve secured a reasonable group insurance option that includes “cancel for any reason” coverage.
Note: As of January 26, 2021 all travelers, including Americans, entering the U.S from a foreign country must provide a negative Covid test.
To Sea has arranged testing for our group.
Some comments from the Nov. group:
-5++ Oh my God. The cooks were amazing, Jose our boatman fantastic, and the rest of the staff were helpful, friendly and seemed to enjoy their work. -John and Jenny Bost
–Loved, loved the sea lions encounters. Totally memorable and so much fun. –Adele Grunberg.
-Perfect, perfect and more perfect The amount of time in each place was great. The addition of the cooking class was a great way for all of us to celebrate the food and our wonderful week at Camp Cecil. Judy Lambert
Let’s bring back the joy in our lives and a plan adventure and at the same time protect ourselves in every way possible.
Deciding if and when you are comfortable to travel is a personal decision. If you feel comfortable planning a unique and fun getaway, please get in touch.
I look forward to hearing from you.
