11 night Snorkel Adventure to the Maldives April 2016

I was in the Maldives in 2013 and fell in love with the gorgeous turquoise water, vibrant reefs and abundant marine life. I knew I had to return.

I’m excited to invite you to experience its beauty for yourself!

The highly regarded Carpe Vita Explorer will be our home for our snorkel expedition. The 125 foot wooden-hull safari yacht, built in 2010, can accommodate 20 travelers in spacious hotel-style cabins and provides an experienced and friendly crew of 13.

A unique itinerary has been designed for us that will highlight the best snorkeling opportunities in the Maldives. We will journey through the central and southern atolls to experience the least crowded and most pristine coral reefs.

As we leisurely travel between Male and Huvadhoo we will explore some of the 3,000 coral reefs that support a wide variety of marine life. A typical day will allow us two to three long snorkel sessions, one in the morning after coffee and light breakfast and another in the afternoon. We’ll also have the opportunity for some night snorkels.

Over a thousand species of fish and other underwater creatures inhabit the waters. From the tiniest shrimp to schools of colorful fish, mantas and dolphins, the Maldives has spectacular snorkeling. The crystal clear warm seas of Maldives have visibility up to 150 feet. The average water temperature is in the 80’s.

The picturesque islands that dot the landscape are visually stunning. We’ll have time for beach walks and village visits on islands that most visitors never see. This will be an unforgettable journey and I hope you can join us.

Due to the demand to explore this corner of the Indian Ocean we are offering two departures.

• April 9-20, 2016 Southbound. Begins in Male and ends in Huvadhoo.
• April 19-30, 2016 Northbound. Begins in Huvadhoo and ends in Male.

Pricing

• 6 standard cabins. All cabins have one queen size bed and a super single bed, desk, chair, dresser, private ensuite bathroom with shower. All standard cabins have portholes.
  Price is $4485.00 per person.

• 2 superior cabins. Cabins have king size beds which can be separated in two super single beds and desk, chair, dresser, hanging closet, large windows, private ensuite bathroom and shower cubicle.

• 2 Suites. Each suite has a king size bed which can be separated in two super single beds , desk, chair, dresser, two hanging closets, windows throughout the side of the cabin, bathroom with dual sink, bath tub and separate shower cubicle.

11 night package price includes:

• 1 night at our group hotel in Male prior to the cruise.
• 10 nights on board the Carpe Vita Explorer with 3 meals daily plus snacks, daily snorkel excursions (weather and itinerary permitting) Airport transfers (for group arrival and departure days). Goods & services tax,
• Non-alcoholic beverages and 2 glasses of beer or wine with dinner
• one way internal flight within the Maldives between Male and Huvadhoo.
• Hotel day pass on last day in Male for those departing late night.

Not included in Package Price:

• Crew gratuities.
• Fuel surcharge payable on board. As of June 2015, it’s $150.00 per person, subject to change. The Fuel Surcharge will be collected with final payment.
  As of Jan. 9th a $6.00 per person, per day “green tax” goes into effect and is payable on board.
• Trip Cancellation/Medical/Evacuation Insurance (which is mandatory)
• Specialty coffees on board and alcohol (except wine/beer with dinner)
• International Airfare. There are many good flight options, including Emirates and Singapore Airlines. An approx. airfare from the west coast starts at $1500.00 round trip.
